Construction of the Messalonskee boat ramp is currently scheduled to begin on July 6, 2026. The contractor responsible for the in-water portion of the project will be working alongside the Town Public Works Department, which will handle the improvements outside of the water.

At this time, the project is expected to take approximately 6–8 weeks to complete, which would place completion sometime in late August or early September, depending on conditions.

Additional updates and notices will be posted on the Town of Oakland’s website and Facebook page both prior to the start of construction and throughout the project to keep the community informed.
